One of the series' stars, Jamie Lee Curtis, recently shared some news about the show's second season. She made it seem as though her Golden Globe nomination will determine whether the series will receive a second season.

Curtis was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television series -Musical or Comedy for her role in "Scream Queens" where she played Dean Cathy Munsch.

During an interview with E! Online, she stated, "A win would mean a second season for Scream Queens. So I want to make it altruistic. I want it for the crew, the cast and all the hundreds of people who worked so hard to make this so funny and great. That's what would happen for me. If I won it would be a guaranteed second season for Scream Queens and I would feel really good."

Unfortunately, Curtis did not get to take home a trophy during the Golden Globes. With that, the possibility of a second season of "Scream Queens" is still in question.

Meanwhile, she did share that if the series were to continue, it would follow the same formula as "American Horror Story." This means that it will be an anthology series, which will present new settings and characters every season.

There has yet to be any news regarding the release date for "Scream Queens" season 2.
