Sean Lowe, Catherine Giudici in No Rush for Children, Wedding Date Not Set
Sean Lowe and fiance Catherine Giudici have not yet decided on a wedding date and the couple is in no rush to have children, according to the "Bachelor" star.
In mid-April "Dancing With The Stars" host Tom Bergeron announced that Lowe, 29, and Giudici, 26, were planning to walk down the aisle in August. Lowe, who is currently a contestant on the ABC show, has since denied the claims.
"That's news to me," Lowe told InTouch magazine, laughing about the host's joke.
"As of now, there is no date. Dancing With the Stars has kept me so busy, [Catherine and I] haven't had time to do anything, so after this is over we will sit down and map it all out," he explained.
As for children, Lowe explained that he and Giudici intend to wait before starting a family. The couple will instead focus on travel.
"Catherine and I are both adventurous and want to travel, so we'll probably wait several years," he said.
Bergeron's bizarre announcement understandably shocked Lowe's family, who contacted him immediately after.
"I got a lot of text messages when I got back to my trailer," Lowe said. "'You're getting married? Why didn't you tell me?' Those were from family."
Lowe and Giudici, who is a graphic designer at Amazon, will become the fourth "Bachelor" franchise couple to wed on TV following in the footsteps of others including "Bachelorette" star Trista Rehn and husband Ryan Sutter, who starred in "Trista & Ryan's Wedding." The Christian entrepreneur explained his decision to go ahead with a televised ceremony.
"My relationship developed on TV, so it almost would make sense to marry on TV," Lowe told Life & Style magazine.
Giudici accepted Lowe's marriage proposal on the season 17 finale taping after being presented with a Neil Lane 4.3-carat platinum engagement ring valued at $76,000 in Thailand.
