Season 2 Of 'Finding Carter' Has Focus Back On Carter & Gabe's Bar Antics In Next Episode

In "Anywhere but Here," the next episode of "Finding Carter" Season 2 due to be shown on Oct. 13, Gabe has one drink too many and creates a ruckus in the bar where Carter is working. Carter tries to rein in the garrulous Gabe but cannot and Gabe is thrown out of the bar. The season will focus more on Carter and family life.

MTV released the sneak peek of the next episode which shows Carter at her job in the bar, serving drinks to Gabe and Ben. Both have had more drinks than they can handle. Carter does not like this and asks them how long they have been drinking. Gabe turns garrulous and Ben tells Carter that Taylor has stood up Gabe on a movie date. Gabe is hurt and so has been drinking.

This news makes Carter anxious as she tries to take the drinks away from Gabe while her boss also watches all this with trepidation. Ben is also getting annoyed now and Gabe, to prove that he is not drunk, tries to balance a beer bottle on his hand. This leads to more disaster as Gabe is thrown out of the bar and Ben runs after him, leaving a thoughtful Carter behind.

Viewers now know that Lori is Carter and Taylor's biological mother. It seems that Elizabeth could not conceive hence Lori became an egg donor for Elizabeth.

Over the episodes, Carter has handled this information well and has maturely accepted that Elizabeth loves both Carter and Taylor. She came to realise that Elizabeth is her true mother in spite of the fact that she spent her initial years with Lori. There is a wonderful tension between Carter and Elizabeth while the same is not true for sister Taylor.

According to the Latin Post, EP Emily Whitesell said recently that the show will be "much more grounded and less melodramatic." She spoke to The Hollywood Reporter and reveals the second part of this season will focus more on Carter. "The season focuses way more on the kids and their teen life and things that Carter is really up to." Whitesell is sure the show's rebranding and refocus will bring in more viewers this season.

"Finding Carter" airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV. The next episode "Anywhere but Here" airs on October 13.
