Seattle Seahawks NFL Trade Rumors: Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll Says Marshawn Lynch Is Considering Comeback

A lot of football fans really like the thought of seeing Marshawn Lynch suit up for the Oakland Raiders, but it's been over a week now since the rumor first came out and the running back still hasn't decided if he's going to return to the National Football League (NFL) next season. Will he really make a comeback?

During an interview at the annual league meeting in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday, Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll revealed that he has spoken with Lynch recently and he said the running back was considering the possibility of making a return to the sport.

"He came through the office and had a good visit. I know that he is somewhat entertaining the thought of it. I can't tell you how strong it is," Carroll said, according to ESPN.

When he was asked what they plan to do with Lynch if he makes a comeback, Carroll replied that they would deal with it "if the time comes."

Carroll was also asked if Lynch would continue to be effective if he makes a comeback and he said it depends on how he prepares himself this offseason.

"The mentality that it takes to play this game the way he plays this game, he has to really be invested and ready because he goes deep when he plays. Whether or not that's still in him, the burn is still there, I couldn't tell that from talking to him. I know that he was playing with the idea," Carroll said, via ESPN.

The Raiders will love to sign Lynch if he becomes a free agent, but sources say they don't want to give up assets to acquire him via a trade. And since the Raiders are going to move to Las Vegas in the future, is Lynch considering playing for them? He's only interested in the Raiders because they play in his hometown, Oakland.
