See All the Confirmed Upcoming Marvel Movies Following 'Thor: Ragnarok'

The Marvel movie franchise has undeniably produced a regular flow of flicks for comics fans who love to see their favorite heroes and characters come to life.

While normally, there is a gap of several months between each of Marvel's movie premieres, it is still a good thing that fans always have something to look forward to. And in Marvel's case, fans are well aware of the next couple of films to be released, though they will still have to wait a few years before the flicks eventually hit theaters worldwide.

This year, one of the biggest and most recent movies from Marvel is "Thor: Ragnarok," where fans will find Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and his rival-brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston) face a common enemy named Hela (Cate Blanchett).

Meanwhile, one of the most awaited plots in the movie is the inclusion of Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). "Thor: Ragnarok" was released on Nov. 3 and is still in theaters as of this writing.

"Black Panther"

After "Thor: Ragnarok," Marvel fans will be watching out for the standalone movie "Black Panther," which is set to show on Feb. 16, 2018 aand where the titular character is portrayed by Chadwick Boseman. The movie's plot will follow the events from "Captain America: Civil War" where Black Panther's father, T'Chaka (John Kani), died. Now, Black Panther will have to face his new role as the King of Wakanda.

"Avengers: Infinity War"

Coming off a somewhat complicated ending from "Captain America: Civil War" where the Avengers were divided, "Infinity War's" main conflict -- the arrival of Thanos (Josh Brolin) -- will force the heroes to band together along with characters from "Guardians of the Galaxy" and Doctor Strange to prevent Thanos from acquiring the Infinity Stones.

The movie will be released on May 4, 2018.

"Ant-Man and the Wasp"

Showing on July 6, 2018, Paul Rudd will be back as the Ant-Man, along with Evangeline Lilly as the Wasp. Little is known about the film, however, other than it will also follow the events of "Captain America: Civil War" where Ant-Man takes on a new mission while trying to be a good father.

"Captain Marvel"

After a very long wait, fans will finally see the movie "Captain Marvel" that will introduce Carol Danvers in her very own title film. Carol will be played by Oscar winner Brie Larson. Marvel's Kevin Feige previously confirmed that the plot will focus on "the three-dimensional, multilayered Carol Danvers character." The movie will premiere on March 8, 2019.

On the other hand, Marvel has also set premiere dates for "Avengers 4" and the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" sequel and these are expected to show on May 3, 2019 and July 5, 2019, respectively. The studio has also confirmed a third movie for "Guardians of the Galaxy" but its release date has yet to be announced.

However, reports have it that Marvel has already reserved the dates May 1, 2020, Aug. 7, 2020, and Nov. 6, 2020 for movies that have yet to be named.
