See the Baby Girl Who Wasn't Supposed to Live, But Became a Medical Miracle (VIDEO)
Meghan Hope Pacyna wasn't supposed to make it. She was born July 9 in Schaumburg, Ill. to René Pacyna almost four months before her due date, with René going into labor during her baby shower. At only eight inches long and weighing less than a pound, doctors gave Meghan a 10 percent chance to survive. This photo shows she was barely larger than her mother's hand:
Yet, last week Baby Meghan, the only child to René and her husband Mark, came home with her parents after five months in the hospital.
"You just have to believe that miracles happen," said René about her outlook on the dire situation. She and Mark depended on prayer and patience over the difficult months. Their faithful attitude left an impression on the doctors, prompting one physician to share, "I said [to myself], if a miracle doesn't happen to this family, which other family will it happen to?"
May we be so trusting of the Lord that the same can be said of us.
