Selena Gomez turned 21 on Monday and while the pop singer celebrated the milestone birthday without Justin Bieber, a report claims she honored him with a unique birthday cake.

Gomez, who has dated Bieber on-and-off for two-years, was photographed celebrating with friends, including British actress Lily Collins, on Saturday at actress Julianne Hough's 25th birthday bash at the Roosevelt hotel. Bieber, who is busy performing as part of his "Believe" tour, did not attend however onlookers were stunned to see his face printed all over Gomez's birthday cake.

"She loves Justin so he went on the cake!" a source told HollywoodLife.com.
While Gomez herself did not design the cake, it is believed that her friends chose to honor Bieber, 19, with the help of cake frosting because the "Come & Get it" singer cares deeply about him.
"She's very stubborn when it comes to Justin," a source said. "She's got this idea that he's 'The One' for her and that they'll live happily ever after."
On Sunday Gomez tweeted about another "cake" she received. She also shared a music video entitled "birthday" which was a tribute to fans.
"My cake was... Jack n the box tacos... Yes," she tweeted July 21 alongside a picture.
In January Gomez and Bieber split after a fight in Mexico and while they reconciled weeks later, they have not been able to maintain a stable relationship. Reports cited trust issues as the alleged reason behind their ongoing relationship woes.
"The problem in the first place is that Selena was a little bit of a jealous girlfriend and Justin wasn't really taking her feelings into regard," a source close to the stars previously told Radar Online.
"Justin doesn't see texting other girls as cheating, but he's promised Selena he'll stop if she takes him back," the source added.
Gomez recently opened up about the "stress" that she has endured as a result of her high-profile relationship with Bieber.
"Yeah. I'm sure you could actually see those pictures of me being way stressed about it and it's hard because what do you do, do you sit in your house and hide and not go anywhere," Gomez told Seacrest about her rocky relationship with Bieber.
"I was 18 when we started to date and you just have to be an 18-year-old and go through everything," she said.
The "Wizards of Waverly Place" star also opened up about the qualities she seeks in a mate.
"Honesty. Egos turn me off big time. And I mean it's hard to date in this industry. It really is. It doesn't have to be anything serious it just can be fun cos it should be cos I'm young," she said.
"You can't help the people you fall in love or the people you want to date. I want somebody who can make me laugh and understand my lifestyle and how I want to live it," she continued adding that from now onwards she will keep her love life "more private."
