Selena Gomez Birthday Plans: Justin Bieber Not Welcome?
Selena Gomez is said to be making plans for her upcoming 22nd birthday and a new report claims the singer's friends do not want Justin Bieber to attend.
In recent weeks Gomez, 21, and Bieber, 20, have been seemingly inseparable following a series of romantic dates and while insiders claim they are indeed back together, reports claim their relationship is complicated. Gomez, who has dated the pop star on and off since 2011, will reportedly celebrate her July 22 birthday at a private estate in California and her friends want the event to be drama free.
"No one wants [the Biebs] to go. All her friends want him out of the picture and just want her to have a relaxing birthday with no trouble and they think he's going to dominate her attention," a source told E! News.
Bieber was recently photographed spending time with other girls, including his ex-girlfriend Chantel Jeffries, which raised doubts about his reconciliation with Gomez, however, she refuses to let him go.
"She doesn't seem to care that he spends time with other women and isn't always honest with her," the source explained. "She's hypnotized. Her friends just want her to enjoy herself for her birthday, but if Justin attends it might complicate matters."
The couple split in April following a reported fight at Coachella, but they are rumored to have rekindled their relationship in recent weeks. While some fans are thrilled, insiders claim many of Gomez's close friends like Taylor Swift do not approve.
"Taylor and Selena are still friends even though she went back to Justin but Taylor has set some boundaries which include no talking about Justin," another source told HollywoodLife.com.
"Taylor really cares about Sel but she doesn't want to be an enabler when it comes to Justin," the insider explained.
While the former Disney star's friends are objecting to her relationship with Bieber, sources claim she refuses to end it because she is madly in love.
"You just can't drop those feelings," a source said. "There is too much there."
