Sexist Gorilla Evicted From Zoo, Sent to Therapy for Attacking Females (Breakdancing Gorilla Video)

A so-called sexist gorilla has been evicted from his place in a Dallas zoo and will be sent to participate in a course of therapy to address his poor behavior, according to reports out this week.

The gorilla, Patrick, reportedly has sneered at numerous female gorillas and acted very hostile to them whenever in their presence. He has even attacked and bitten one of them.

Patrick is a 195 kg western lowland gorilla, who was previously an incumbent at the Texas zoo. However, it has been reported that his poor behavior around female gorillas will now see him being moved to the Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens in Columbia, South Carolina for therapy and rehabilitation.

Riverbanks Zoo and Gardens in Columbia, South Carolina has facilities to help animals address various behavioral issues, and Patrick has now been assigned to their care to focus on his seemingly sexist issues.

Zoo workers in Dallas have admitted that Patrick has had absolutely no problem with humans and has acted normally around and towards them. However, when it comes to female gorillas he tends to flip out.

Zoo staff have attempted to help Patrick address his anti-social issues and have made efforts to expose him to various other female gorillas, however, he has not welcomed them at all and in numerous cases has gone as far as to attack them.

Laurie Holloway, a spokeswoman for the Dallas Zoo, has said: "It's not like we haven't tried, he's been here for 18 years."

Workers at the zoo note that Patrick has only ever had one friend that he was close to and welcomed called Jabari. However, Jabari was killed by Dallas police after escaping from his cage in 2004 and attacked three people. Police were forced to take the gorilla out to stop anyone else being harmed.

Patrick did not react well to the loss of his friend, and his poor behavior got worse after that. Zoo keepers were forced to move him to his own cage and separate him from other gorillas at the location.

The zoo has recently had two new male gorillas join, and that has allowed them to move Patrick to the South Carolina location for therapy. One of the zoo's new gorillas has already become a massive hit after a video of him breakdancing went viral on the Internet.
