'Shades of Blue' Season 2 Episode 2 Spoilers: Harlee Faces Old and New Threats in Show's Sophomore Season

Now that the abusive Miguel (Antonio Jaramillo) is dead, will Harlee's (Jennifer Lopez) life be a little less burdensome in "Shades of Blue" season 2? Or will the circumstances and consequences of his death only bring a heavier burden to the detective's life?

The show's first episode back had Harlee calling Caddie (Michael Laurence) for help after accidentally killing her ex-boyfriend, Miguel. Callie then took out Miguel's teeth in order to avoid identification before burying the dead body over Saperstein's (Santino Fontana) grave.

The rest of the episode sent Harlee back out on the field as if nothing happened. And in the following episode titled "Eye of the Hurricane," she will dive right into an investigation that will end up taking an unexpected turn into her past, which subsequently puts her in the crosshairs of Wozniak (Ray Liotta) and the FBI.

Wozniak, for his part, will discover that Stahl (Warren Kole) is targeting mayoral candidate, Julia Ayers (Anna Gunn), who also happens to be his close friend. The discovery will send Wozniak launching an all-out war against Stahl.

Meanwhile, the precinct will be playing host to a new, unwelcome presence that will threaten to expose the crew's deepest, darkest secrets.

"Shades of Blue" season 2 episode 2 airs on Sunday, March 12 at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.

The official synopsis for the subsequent episode 3 titled "Ghost Hunt" has also been released and teases Harlee and Wozniak working together to track down a dangerous rival in a risky attempt to free Wozniak from the Feds.

What dangers will the two of them have to face in order to achieve their goal? And will they really be able to reel in a bigger fish and make a successful deal with the FBI for Wozniak's sake?

The third episode of the sophomore season of "Shades of Blue" airs the following Sunday, March 19 at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
