'Shadowhunters' Season 2 Episode 9 Spoilers: Clary Is 'Bound by Blood' to Save Madzie in Penultimate Midseason Episode
Things will be getting out of hand for everyone in the next episode of "Shadowhunters." With Clary (Katherine McNamara) caught in a blood oath she previously made with the conniving warlock Iris (Stephanie Belding), will the Downworlders have the upper hand when they decide to hunt her down?
The previous episode revealed that Clary has pure Angel blood and may well be the cause of the Downworlders' extinction once Valentine (Alan Van Sprang) gets his hands on her. Despite her confident assurance that she will not give in to her father's demands no matter what, Iris' blood oath might present a dilemma when Valentine brings out Madzie (Ariana Williams), the young warlock that Clalry is supposed to find.
In the latest edition of Entertainment Weekly's Spoiler Room, McNamara revealed that the realization of the potential destruction she could bring with the Soul Sword was a devastating blow to Clary.

"She's trying to do nothing but good in this world, and she's finding out that she could be the key to the ultimate evil," McNamara said. She added that Clary will be on her way down the path that Jace went through earlier in the season, as she fights off the potential darkness threatening her identity.
Will Clary be able to find and save Madzie before Valentine has a chance to put her in a situation wherein she would be left with no other choice but to wield the Soul Sword, if only to save an innocent child's life? Will Dot (Vanessa Matsui) be able to eventually help Clary save Madzie from her father's destructive schemes?
Can the Shadowhunters expect the Downworlders' help in protecting Clary from Valentine, or will they be planning their own schemes to take Valentine's daughter out of the equation?
