'Shameless' Season 8 Episode 1 Spoilers: Fiona Says No to Casual Hookups

Fiona (Emmy Rossum) is determined to say out of any romantic relationships to focus on her new business in the upcoming season of "Shameless."

The synopsis for the season premiere shows that Fiona's first priority is managing her new apartment building. In the episode titled "We Become What We ... Frank!," she will promise to herself that random hookup is not her thing anymore. She wants to put all her energy in the building she bought in the last installment and be successful in business for a change. She was previously forced to sell her laundromat after realizing that she had no future with it.

Meanwhile, the Gallaghers will sell off Carl's (Ethan Cutkosky) share of Monica's (Chloe Webb) meth to get some much-needed cash. Before her death, Monica left her children huge crystals of the drug. Fiona decided to bury her inheritance inside her mother's casket. As for the rest of the children, they were free to do whatever they want with their share.

Frank (William H. Macy), on the other hand, did not lose time getting high off of Monica's farewell gift. When he eventually emerges from his drug-induced haze, he will surprise everyone with his sudden change of attitude.

Frank will reportedly try to make amends for the years when he made his children's lives hell. In a previous interview, Macy said that his character would have a moment of clarity where he would see his mistakes as a father. The change is allegedly due to Monica death.

"I don't want to frighten you, but Frank shaves. He has a credit card; he buys a car; he gets a job. But he's been so loaded for so long, he's a little bit crazy when he first comes back. And he is devastated by the loss of Monica. The ghost of Monica will live on and on and on, especially for Frank," Macy said.

"Shameless" season 8 is expected to air on Sunday, Nov. 5, at 9 p.m. EDT on Showtime.
