'Shameless' Season 8 News: The Gallaghers Get Involved in Drug Trade in New Trailer

The Gallaghers are back for more trouble in the latest trailer for "Shameless" season 8.

In the new promotional video for the Showtime dramedy, the Gallagher family are forced to deal with their crystal meth inheritance from Monica (Chloe Webb). Frank (William H. Macy) appears to be using meditation to cope with his wife's death. As expected, he ends up smoking his part of the inheritance.

His children, however, want to sell and invest their share of the meth. Upon discovering that the drugs were not really Monica's to give away, Fiona (Emmy Rossum) decides to take action. She already got rid of her part by burying it with Monica, but her mother's ex is out to get the rest of the meth. The Gallagher siblings need to dig up their mother and return the drugs to her ex to stop him from coming after all of them.

The clip also shows that Lip (Jeremy Allen White) still has feelings for Sierra (Ruby Modine), who seems to have finally moved on. Although their romance has already ended, Sierra and Lip will remain close throughout the eighth season. Fans will also be seeing more of Sierra, but not necessarily because of her past relationship with the troubled Gallagher son.

"You're going to be able to peek behind the curtain of what Sierra's life is," Modine told TV Guide. "She's still working at Patsy's [Diner] but there are other elements that are at play this coming season ... [We'll be] seeing the direction she's choosing to go in to better her son's life."

In addition, the trailer offered a first look at newcomer Jessica Szohr. The "Gossip Girl" alum has been tapped to play Nessa, a strong and intelligent lesbian who builds a close friendship with Fiona. She will be appearing on the show for its entire eighth season.

The eighth season of "Shameless" premieres Sunday, Nov. 5, at 9 p.m. EDT on Showtime.
