She Finally Stood Up to the People Bullying Her and Good Samaritans Gave Her Something to Smile About
14-year-old Breanna Mendoza has been bullied her whole life because of a birth defect. It has caused a deformation in her face. But after being pushed around too many times, she finally stood up and fired back at those bringing her down. Her response is extremely positive!
It's very hard to go through life when everywhere you go bullies make fun of you. Sadly for Breanna, it has happened to her all her life. She suffers from Goldenhar Syndrome, which has caused her face to become deformed. It's something she has no control over and it is very cruel for others to make fun of her for it. Breanna decided to stand up to her bullies and share her story on social media. The response she gets back in return has been extremely positive. She finally feels like people accept her.
We all have the need to be liked or accepted in some form with those around us. It's not a good feeling to be rejected for a reason such as Breanna's -- especially at an age when we should be forming close relationships with others. It can cause emotional scarring and negative effects in our lives. Thankfully, these people reached out to her and made her feel like she was accepted.
