She Was Paralyzed When a Friend Pushed Her Into a Pool - See This Bride's Story of Determination and Compassion (VIDEO)
Rachelle Friedman Chapman was only four weeks from marrying the love of her life, Chris, when she had a poolside bachelorette party. As a joke, Chapman's best friend nudged her into the pool, the kind of horseplay they've engaged in many times before. But this time, Chapman hit head-first and broke two vertebrae, damaging her spinal cord and leaving the bride-to-be paralyzed from the chest down.
After her initial treatment, Rachelle and Chris got married. And she harbors no ill will toward her friend, whose identity she keeps secret.
"I know this is hard to believe but I never had to forgive her because I never really blamed her," she said on Reddit.
About the best thing that's come out of the accident, Chapman wrote, "It sounds corny but I know I've impacted people's lives and it makes me feel like the accident was not in vain."
Friends and family rallied around the young bride, as has her community. See how a local gym owner is blessing Chapman on her journey toward the best life possible.
