Shia LaBeouf Fight: Friends Blame Alcohol For Bar Brawl
After “Transformers” star Shia LaBeouf got into a fight outside a Vancouver, B.C. bar, his friends are questioning his self-control and anger management.
LaBeouf, 25, has a history of altercations and fisticuffs; he was involved in another bar fight in Sherman Oaks, Calif. in February 20011 and he was arrested in 2007 for criminal trespassing in Chicago. As a result of his frequent run-ins with the law and violent confrontations, his friends pleaded with him to get anger management before he compromised his career or ends up in jail.
LaBeouf got into the fight when he was in Vancouver, B.C. to shoot his new movie “The Company You Keep,” in which he will co-star along with Robert Redford, Stanley Tucci and Anna Kendrick, reported TMZ.

An eye witness and crew member of his new movie told Chicago Sun-Times said that LaBeouf did not instigate the fight, but did react violently to a fellow patron’s repeated insults, “which is something Shia should have just ignored.”
“But unfortunately, he let the guy get under his thin skin - and he followed him out into the street, where the man knocked him down before Shia’s friends broke things up and helped cool it down,” the source said.
“These things can happen when Shia’s been drinking. He can turn nasty so fast. … He’s like Sean Penn. One moment he can be totally charming, and then he’ll lose it and go off on someone - especially when it’s a nut in a bar who is looking for a fight.”
Another witness pointed to alcohol as the cause of LaBeouf’s actions: "He got into a confrontation with a couple of people… He took a few punches to the face. He was obviously pretty intoxicated."
A source for TMZ caught the recent fight on video spilling onto the sidewalk outside of a local bar.
Friends of LaBeouf can clearly be heard telling him to “lay low,” while holding him back after being knocked down and punched repeatedly.
