'Shin Megami Tensei V' Confirmed fr Nintendo Switch
"Shin Megami Tensei V," the next installment in the long-running post-apocalyptic role-playing video game series, will be released exclusively to the Nintendo Switch.
The game was first teased back in January, during the reveal of the Nintendo console. Atlus has since promised new information this month, which the studio obviously came through for.
Not much about "Shin Megami Tensei V" has been revealed with the release date still unknown. It is also unclear whether it will be localized for the west.
When it was first announced, details surrounding this were uncertain since the development for it just started around that time as well. The statement reads:
Atlus USA currently has no information about a localization for this title, but wanted to present the details from the Japanese reveal of this title to the western market. A formal announcement will be made later for this title if a localization gets confirmed.
The most recent iterations of the game namely "Shin Megami Tensei IV" and "Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse" were both localized for North America and Europe so gamers are hoping this will be the case with the next title.
It is to be noted that it took several months before these titles to be released outside of Japan so gamers in the west should prepare themselves for a longer wait for the game.
With regards to what "Shin Megami Tensei V" will have to offer, fans can check out the brand new trailer that came with the official announcement of the game.
So far with what has been shown, gamers and followers of the franchise like what they see and are looking forward for the title to land on the Nintendo Switch soon.
The game director, however, hinted in an interview with Famitsu via Destructoid that one of the reasons they are bringing "Shin Megami Tensei V" to the Nintendo Switch us that it will allow players to "enjoy the game's story in HD on their TVs, and grind to level up and fuse demons in portable mode in the comfort of your bed."
