'Silicon Valley' Season 4 Release Date News: New Episodes Start on April 23
Home Box Office's (HBO) Emmy Award-winning comedy series, "Silicon Valley," has just announced the start of their new season. The new episodes will begin airing on April 23 on their 10:00 p.m. Eastern time Sunday time slot.
On their Instagram video, the cast of the show gathered in the backyard of the Pied Piper office as they revealed the date of their 2017 debut. Richard Hendricks (Thomas Middleditch), Jared Dunn (Zach Wood), Dinesh Chugtai (Kumail Nanjiani), Bertram Gilfoyle (Martin Starr) and Erlich Bachman (T.J. Miller) lounged in deck chairs as they recite together a few lines that go "Sleep is so important. Food is so important. We think we are sophisticates but really we're just beasts."
This may just be a simple commentary on the world of startup tech ventures that is the backdrop for "Silicon Valley." Perhaps they are just not eating and sleeping well these days, with the start of their new season and the schedule that comes with it. After all, they almost botched the important part of the video — agreeing on the April 23rd Sunday airing date for season 4's first episode.
Season 4 will start off with the Pied Piper crew's attempt to regroup their company around Dinesh' video chat application, after the disaster that was the Series B funding deal. At least the original team was left in control of the company, thanks to some last-minute stroke of luck that led to Bachman and Nelson "Big Head" Bighetti (Josh Brenner) saving Pied Piper. Their group is now joined by Monica Hall (Amanda Crew), as she was fired from her previous employer Laurie Bream (Suzanne Cryer) after a dispute.
Fans and newcomers to the series may be met with a more dramatic season 4, as an earlier TVLine interview with the cast noted in passing. The comedy series team may have included drama writers to work on the new episodes, and they can lend their experience to the more intricate and suspenseful plots of the tech show.
