'Sister Wives' News: Christine Brown Doesn't Approve of Mykelti's Engagement; Brown Wedding to be Canceled?
Christine Brown Says Mykelti is Too Young to Tie the Knot
Mykelti Brown and her fiance Antonio Padron might be forced to put a stop in their wedding plans. It seems as though Mykelti's mother is not in favor of the upcoming nuptials.
Mother Knows Best
Christine Brown is not too sure about Padron's proposal to her daughter Mykelti. Upon hearing about it, Christine was shocked that her 19-year-old daughter was going to be married already.
Christine explained that she did not think her daughter was ready because she is too young. She also pointed out that she does not know Padron well enough.
She explained, "I don't even know Tony. Mykelti's just so young. I didn't imagine growing up so fast, because marriage is a huge, grown-up step. I'm like, 'You're a baby.'"
Daddy's Princess
Mykelti's father Kody also said that he was completely shocked when he heard about the engagement. This is different from a previoust statement of Padron saying that Kody was happy to hear about the proposal.
Padron said that at first, he was intimidated when thinking of asking Kody for permission to marry Mykelti. However, he was able to muster up the courage to ask Kody for his daughter's hand in marriage.
The Engagement
Nevertheless, it seems that the couple is happy to be moving on to the next chapter of their lives. Mykelti announced the big news a couple of weeks ago, saying, "I'm getting married to my best friend and I'm so happy. He asked and I said yes, but what I'm really excited for is when we get to say 'I do'. I love you Tony."
She shared that her fiance is an incredible man who completes her. Even though they have only been dating for nine months, she already feels like they are inseparable.
Padron proposed to her when they were hiking in Utah. Upon reaching a waterfall, Padron got down on one knee and recited a poem for Mykelti. He then presented a unique engagement ring.
