Two more days remain before the opening of the largest nationally and internationally recognized event dedicated to assist, train and network professionals in Christian communications. The National Religious Broadcasters 62nd Annual Convention & Exposition (NRB 2005), to be held at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif., will gather thousands of Christian communicators from all over the world.

NRB 2005, slated for Feb. 11-16, is about “renewing our vision and commitment to reaching the world for Christ through electronic media,” said NRB President Frank Wright recently.

According to the NRB, with more than 141 million Americans alone tuning in monthly to some form of religious media, the challenge for continual broadcast ministry, creativity, and excellence is at the forefront of all NRB events. “NRB does this through various educational sessions and boot camps, live technology demonstrations by some of the most renowned companies in the industry, public policy sessions, and much more,” the association stated.

Nearly 300 exhibitors are scheduled to attend the NRB exposition, which TradeShow Weekly named as one of the 50-Fastest growing industry expositions in the nation for the second consecutive year.

The exposition includes intensive “Boot Camps”, vital educational sessions, inspiring keynote addresses and ministry from internationally known speakers and artists, the peer-driven Innovation Exchange, the crucial leading-edge information found in the award-winning Exposition, the ever-expanding Job Fair, and the busy Educational Pavilion.

“Whether you are a broadcaster, media pastor, program producer or other communications professional, the breadth and depth of opportunities of the convention will provide you and your staff with the skills and knowledge required to overcome the daily challenges you face,” the NRB states in their website.

Speakers this year include nationally known women’s speaker Beth Moore; Dr. Ravi Zacharias of Let My People Think; Dr.James MacDonald of Walk in the Word; June Hunt of Hope for the Heart; Luis Palau of the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association; Joni Eareckson Tada of Joni & Friends; Dr. David Jeremiah of Turning Point; and many others.

Christian musical guests scheduled for other NRB 2005 events include: Michael Card, The Crabb Family, Crimson Bridge, Amick Byram, Steve Green, Jamie Jorge, Crystal Lewis, Smokie Norful, and Fernando Ortega.

Last year the event gathered some 6,000 Christian communicators from all over the world and this year that number is expected to be exceeded. Coordinators say the convention is a "must attend " on the broadcast industry's calendar, serving as the best way to meet with and speak directly to top management in Christian communications.
