Skoll Studio's 'Koloro' Is Now on Stream

Days after the Steam Greenlight service was canceled, Skoll Studio has announced that "Koloro," its first contemplative puzzle/platform game, is getting a new Stream page.

Based on the game's official website, players will get to discover the world of the protagonist named Kora as she embarks on a journey to find her lost sister. The system requirements for Windows, Mac OS X and SteamOS + Linux are specified on the site as well.

The game's goal is simple. As Kora, the gamer will navigate an "imaginary and poetic world" to search for the sibling who went missing. Danger will always be near, as creatures and obstacles will make the journey difficult.

To scale walls and overcome the hurdles, players will have to strategize well. They will not get far with only fast reflexes to depend on. The game can be played in single or two-player mode via a shared-screen story mode. There are four worlds to explore, with more than different 200 levels. By acquiring bonuses, players will get the chance to unlock exclusive content that include artworks, music and new levels. Those who like to be challenged may try out "a hardcore game" mode.

The game boasts of a "dreamlike graphic style" and "beautiful hand-drawn scenery." The soundtrack is original and reportedly made exclusively for "Koloro." The background music is "rich and dynamic." It is basically a world of dreams where the protagonist begins her quest to become an adult. The overall atmosphere changes from colorful to dark as Kora experiences a gamut of emotions, from hope to despair, while looking for her sister.

Skoll Studio promises that players will thoroughly enjoy the easy-to-learn gameplay. A free game demo is available for download at the Game Jolt website. It is important to note, though, that the game is currently being developed and may have bugs.
