Skywalker Ranch Fire Causes $25K In Damages
Skywalker Ranch, George Lucas' 4,000-acre property in Northern California, came under the threat of a fire early Tuesday morning.
The land serves as the headquarters for Lucasfilms and also houses sound editing and the design division of the company founded by the "Stars Wars" filmmaker.
Furthermore, it was at his Skywalker Ranch that Lucas wed Mellody Hobson on June 22 this year.

Tuesday morning, Marin County firefighters responded to a call and contained the fire, CBS News reported. Nevertheless, a portion of the property, including the roof and other parts of a shipping-and-receiving building, were destroyed in the flames.
Within the building, the fire destroyed office furniture and supplies, costing a total of $25,000 in damages, according to CBS.
The movie mogul began acquiring the property for the ranch, parcel by parcel, in 1978- one year after "Star Wars" was released.
Known as one of the American film industry's most financially successful filmmakers, Lucas is also known for creating the character of Indiana Jones.
Meanwhile, news of the fire at Skywalker Ranch arrives just weeks after Lucas and his wife welcomed a daughter, Everest Hobson Lucas. The child was born in August via gestational carrier.
Lucas, 69, is already a father to three adopted children.
The filmmaker and his wife are not the only celebrities to use surrogacy to expand their family.
In July, Jimmy Fallon revealed that he and his wife Nancy welcomed their daughter via surrogate.
Winnie Rose Fallon was born on July 23, but it was not revealed that a surrogate was used until days after her arrival.
"We said, 'We're not going to tell anybody,'" Fallon explained while on the "Today" show. "It'd just be more fun if it's just private between me and my wife. And then we get to introduce her to everybody."
Also welcomed through a surrogate was Edward Duke Rancic- the son of Giuliana and Bill Rancic. Ahead of Duke's birth, his mother experienced infertility issues as well as breast cancer.
