Slave 2 the Rhythm Track Features Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber (VIDEO)
A new Michael Jackson track has been released on the radio mixing one of the late pop singer's former tracks with lyrics from Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend."
Justin Bieber has been open about his admiration for the late Michael Jackson, who is credited with transforming pop music. In previous interview the 19-year-old singer has referred to Jackson as an "inspiration when it comes to music."
That inspiration came to light in a new track titled "Slave 2 the Rhythm" – which was played for the first time on Capital FM earlier this week. The track features a mash up of the Michael Jackson son mixed in with lines from Bieber's "Boyfriend" track.
Bieber alluded to the track release on his Twitter account before the song was played.
"Excited for what is to come. MJ set the bar. Not only for music but for being an entertainer and how u treat the fans. Wish he was here..." he wrote. "All of it is not always easy but it is a blessing. We can change the world. I'm up for the challenge. Big things ahead! #greatness. love you."
According to recent reports, Bieber could be taken his admiration for the late singer even further after rumors surfaced that the singer was interested in purchasing Jackson's former estate, deemed Neverland. Located about two hours away from Los Angeles, the estate could provide Bieber with a retreat away from paparazzi following all of the bad publicity that has been following him as of late according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
But while Bieber may be a huge fan of the pop idol, it appears that Jackson's children are less amused with the teen singer. Last year Jackson's youngest, Blanket, refused a handshake after Bieber offered up his right hand. Sources also told TMZ in June that Paris Jackson believes Bieber to be a bad role model to his fans.
