'Sleepy Hollow' Season 2 News: Katrina to Struggle with Adapting to Modern World, First Episode Plot Revealed
The first season of "Sleepy Hollow" saw Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) struggle to adapt to the modern world as he marveled at mundane things such as flashlights and electric bulbs, complained about skinny jeans, was incredulous at the sheer number of Starbucks per block, and was aghast at the price of a fast food meal.
Now, it seems like Ichabod's wife Katrina (Katia Winter) will be dealing with the same things as she has just arrived in the modern world which will be seen in the upcoming episodes of the show. Though she will certainly need some time adjusting to some of the things that Ichabod had to deal with, executive producer Mark Goffman told TVLine that unlike her husband, she'll have an easier time adjusting to the sartorial sensibilities of women in the modern times.
"I would say she doesn't cling to her wardrobe the way that Crane does … She's a much cooler dresser in a way of mixing and matching the modern era with her own," said Goffman.
Meanwhile FOX has just released the official synopsis for season two's first episode, "This Means War". It looks like fans of the show are in for an explosive season premiere.
The episode's premise notes that how Crane managed to escape after being betrayed and buried alive by his son Jeremy, now the Horseman of War, is still a mystery, as well as Abbie's escape from purgatory.
"Meanwhile, Moloch's malevolent forces use all the powers at their disposal in order to locate a key—once belonging to Founding Father Benjamin Franklin—which is capable of unlocking the gates of purgatory," a synopsis reads.
"While in purgatory, Moloch works to raise a demonic army in preparation for his invasion, but those who would prevent the hoard's advent get help from an unexpected source," it continued.
"Sleepy Hollow" Season 2 premieres on Sept. 22 on FOX.
