'Sleepy Hollow' Season 3 News: Cast Shares Teasers during NY Comic-Con

The cast of "Sleepy Hollow" made an appearance at the New York Comic-Con that happened last week.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the cast present included Lyndie Greenwood, who plays Jenny Mills, Zach Appelman, who plays Joe Corbin, and Nikki Reed, who plays Betsy Ross. The group was joined by the executive producer of the series Raven Metzner. They all assembled as a panel, revealing details for the upcoming season.

One of the things shared from the panel was that the character of the series will be facing some changes in their lives. It was reported that Metzner had shared that Crane will be receiving a new rival in the upcoming season. In addition, Abbie will be going through some series of challenges in her career.

Details about the anticipated crossover with "Bones" were also revealed. It was said that writers for the series "Bones" have been very open about how they will approach the upcoming special episode. With that, he ensured that the crossover will bring a lot of fun to the series.

Meanwhile, there were also hints that another crossover has a possibility of happening. A fan asked Metzner about having "Sleepy Hollow" cross over with "The X-Files." Metzner replied, "That would be awesome. We have a lot of genre fans in our [writers'] room … And The X-Files is one that we talk about because of its great mix of mythology and these solid standalone episodes. We talk about how they did that so well and continued to do that for all of these years."

The newest addition to the series, Nikki Reed, also shared details on how she prepared for the upcoming role. It was revealed that Betsy Ross is the first historical figure that Reed will be playing.

With that, she made sure she was prepared by reading up on Ross, as well as doing research. However, she said, "At the end of the day, the beauty of this is that you realize that in the world you create, while there are definitely components that must be accurate, you do have the creative freedom to bring to life whatever you want her to be."

"Sleepy Hollow" season 3 is expected to premiere this Oct. 15.
