'So You Think You Can Dance' 2017 News: Season 14 Winner Lex Ishimoto Wants 'To Do it All,' Is Now Dating Taylor Sieve
"So You Think You Can Dance" season 14 has announced its winner last week. After a strong performance all season long, what's next for Irvine native Lex Ishimoto?
There was not much room for debate about the results of this year's "So You Think You Can Dance," which awarded Lex Ishimoto the first place after 16 grueling weeks of some of the best dancing to be had on TV.
Ishimoto, an Irvine, Orange County resident, won $250,000 in cash and a right to claim the title of "America's Favorite Dancer" on the show's season finale on Monday night, Sep. 25. His hard work paid, off, becoming a top favorite to win it all even before last week's results, according to TV Line.
What's next for the 19-year-old dance champion?
"I want to do it all," Ishimoto said. "I've never seen a dancer do it all. There's more work to be done," he added, as he shared with the Orange County Register.
Clinching the win on Monday night opens a lot of doors for the rising dancer, and Ishimoto looks to launch from his fresh victory on Fox' dance show. "This show is a lot of dancers' motivation. I've kind of been in the shadows, I've been on the low," he said, before adding that now was "the right time" for him.
He won't have to do it alone, too, as he met Taylor Sieve, fellow finalist and now, his girlfriend, as he confirmed to Bustle. They may have kept it hushed down during the course of the finals, but the chemistry can't be denied onstage as the two lovers dueled for the top spot.
The video below shows the couple as they performed a dance choreographed by Mia Michaels. The renewal for "So You Think You Can Dance" is yet to be confirmed by FOX as of this time.
