Something Related to 'World of Warcraft' Will Be Announced at BlizzCon 2017
Rumors hinting that devs may be set to reveal a new expansion
BlizzCon 2017 is now just a month away, and it is once again expected to be an important event for fans of Blizzard games. For this year, "World of Warcraft" players in particular may want to clear some time to make sure they can catch the event.
Just recently, director Ion Hazzikostas looked back at the year the game has had thus far in a short video. He touched on the release of the "Legion" expansion and the other major patches that have been made available since then.
Near the end of the video, Hazzikostas also hinted at what was coming next for the massively multiplayer online role-playing game.
As Hazzikostas mentioned, he and the other developers are eager to share the things they have been working on during this year's BlizzCon. The director ultimately stopped short of saying what they have lined up for the game but he did urge fans to stay tuned.
Now that it has been confirmed that "World of Warcraft's" developers are gearing up to reveal something at BlizzCon 2017, many players have turned to trying to guess what is actually set to be announced.
A popular suggestion seems to be that the next expansion will finally be unveiled.
It has already been more than a year since the "Legion" expansion was released and more than two years since it was first announced, so the timing seems to be right for the reveal of the next major expansion.
Rumors have previously hinted that the next expansion could be linked in some way to the isle of Kul Tiras, though that has not been confirmed.
While players wait for BlizzCon to get started on Nov. 3, they can still go ahead and enjoy some of the events available in the game today and others coming later this month. There are some brawls taking place this month, and there is even a Halloween-themed event that will run from Oct. 18 to Nov. 1.
More news about the additions coming to "World of Warcraft" should be made available soon.
