Sony Reveals Free PlayStation Games for September
Sony has announced the free titles it is offering for the month of September for all PlayStation Plus members.
Based on the Vote to Play program on the PlayStation blog, users voted for the game they wanted to play for free, with "Grow Home" taking home the prize for free download for PlayStation Plus members this September.
PlayStation game runners-up during the voting will be available for download with a 30 percent discount from September 1 to 15.
The winner, Ubisoft adventure platform game, "Grow Home" released this February, follows the story of B.U.D. the robot, a Botanical Utility Droid that is given the mission to grow a plant to oxygenate the planet it comes from. In the open world adventure, players will use each of B.U.D.'s individually moving arms to interact with objects and climb obstacles. "Grow Home" is available for free download for PlayStation 4 consoles.
Among the runners-up in the voting, "Teslagrad" a 2D side-scrolling puzzle platform game by Rain Games, will allow players to use magnetism and electromagnetic forces to move through the game environment set in a steampunk-inspired old Europe in a quest to uncover the secrets of the abandoned Tesla Tower.
"Super Time Force Ultra," for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, is a side-scrolling shooter from Capybara Games featuring a time-travelling military cadre of super soldiers with a mission to insert themselves into several points in time: the prehistoric era, the middle ages, and even the future to alter events that would change the present for the better.
The action-adventure "Xeodrifter," developed by Renegade Kid, will also be available for download for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita at a 30 percent discount. Players take control of an astronaut with a damaged spaceship who must explore four nearby planets to gather materials to repair his ride home.
Sony vehicular combat game, "Twisted Metal" for PlayStation 3 will take place in a demolition derby environment where players make use of machine guns, ballistic projectiles, mines, and other weapons to battle with opposing drivers.
Finally, Pygmy Studio's remake of "La-Mulana EX" for PlayStation Vita, allows players to explore an Indiana Jones-themed adventure game set in ancient ruins while battling monsters, avoiding traps, and finding valuable treasure.
