Sony Xperia Z Headed to T-Mobile, Device Passes Through FCC
The Sony Xperia Z smartphone could launch on T-Mobile sometime in the near future.
The device recently was spotted passing through the FCC. This version of the Xperia Z included a T-Mobile branded user manual that highlighted the carrier's specific features such as Wi-Fi calling. The device's documentation confirms the presence of both AWS LTE and pentaband HSPA+, which further confirms that this will be a T-Mobile device.
T-Mobile has not yet confirmed its plan to release the Xperia Z, but judging from these leaks and FCC documents, an announcement by the company should be coming soon.

It only took Sony 40 days to move 4.6 million units of its new high-end smartphone the Xperia Z.
The reason the company was able to do this was due to its decision to launch the smartphone earlier than some of its competitors releasing similar devices. Most tech enthusiasts did not expect it to do this well, but hitting the market before other handsets such as the Galaxy S4 and HTC One gave it a significant advantage.
The Xperia Z also features a waterproof design that many customers are attracted to. One of Sony's marketing gimmicks in Prague for the smartphone involved a woman showering and using the Xperia Z while doing so. It also features a sturdy design overall.
Specifications for the Sony Xperia Z were finally revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that took place earlier this year.
The Sony flagship smartphone features a 5-inch, 1080p display NFC (near-field-communications), 13-megapixel main camera and a water-resistant exterior.
Other specifications on the Xperia Z include a 1.5GHz asynchronous quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 2GB RAM, one-touch mirroring and 4G LTE.
