Sony Xperia Z Release Date Set for July 17
The Sony Xperia Z release date could be set for July 17 on T-Mobile.
An image leaked on the internet this week showing T-Mobile's product launch plans for the near future and revealed that the Xperia Z will be release for the carrier soon. TmoNews says that based on the image, the Xperia Z will drop on July 17 for the company along with the Nokia Lumia 925.
Another device listed as the T-Mobile 768 is believed to be a prepaid handset backed by Huawei, ZTE or another manufacturer that releases products under T-Mobile's branding.

Details on price for the Xperia Z are not available at this time. However, it will most likely run around $99 down with several $20 monthly payments to follow.
An unofficial version of the Xperia Z Android 4.2.2, JellyBean update began rolling earlier this month.
The firmware is now available for the smartphone, according to Xperia blog. However, it is only compatible with devices that come with unlocked bootloaders.
The developer of the ROM has issued a warning to not install the software on the Xperia ZL, Xperia Tablet Z, or any other handset at this time.
Sony will release an Android 4.2.2, JellyBean powered Google Edition version of the Xperia Z smartphone in the near future. The device could feature Android 4.3, if Google launches the software before this new variant of the Xperia Z is released.
The Google Edition will feature the same hardware as the original version along with an IP57 certification that confirms that it will be both water and dust proof. The smartphone is expected to cost around $599 and will most likely launch sometime next month.
The HTC One and Galaxy S4 Google Editions are currently available in the Google Play store.
