'Sony Xperia Z5 Compact' official photo leaks ahead of its IFA launch

The IFA event which will be held in Berlin this month provides an avenue for smartphone manufacturers to showcase their products. The event is held from September 4 to 9. Recently, Sony has confirmed that it will hold a press conference on September 2 while in Berlin. Although it wasn't disclosed what the press conference would cover, people are expecting the company to launch or introduce a couple of its products a few days before the IFA event so this press conference might just be the way for Sony to do that.

The most anticipated of the products, of course, would be the unveiling of its Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Compact.

According to a BGR India report, the recent leak at a Netherland-based tech website, "Techstatic", consisted of an image supposedly of the Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, but what's interesting is that the image is very similar to an official promo image. The report also states that from the looks of the leaked promo image, Sony has retained the OmniBalance design philosophy. The device is also likely waterproof and dustproof.
