'Spider-Man: The Sinister Six Reborn' News: Nick Lowe Announces Villains' Return to Comic Series

Nick Lowe announced that "Spider-Man" villains "The Sinister Six" will be making a comeback.

The senior editor of Marvel's "Spider-Man" revealed at the 2017 New York Comic Con (NYCC) that "The Sinister Six" is coming to the "Spider-Man" comic series where fictional superhero Miles Morales is the main protagonist, Den of Geek reports.

To give the NYCC attendees a preview, Lowe shared some artwork for "The Sinister Six Reborn" featuring the Spot, Bombshell, Sandman, Hobgoblin, the female Electro, and a mysterious villain embodying black and gold colors who is said to be their new leader.

Lowe added that a new Iron Spider will be introduced in "The Sinister Six Reborn," and the person behind the villainous persona has yet to be revealed in the series.

"There's a new Iron Spider. We don't know who's in that costume. But when you find out, if you're a Miles fan or a Spider-Man fan in general, it will blow your mind," explained Lowe.

Lowe promised fans of the franchise that "The Sinister Six Reborn" will have a "big crazy story arc."

"We have some new twists on old villains but basically we grabbed the coolest villains and you have to wonder why they're going after Miles," added the Marvel senior editor.

Brian Michael Bendis will be writing "The Sinister Six Reborn" while artwork will be done by Oscar Bazaldua. The arc for the "Spider-Man" spin-off will begin in #234, which will create a significant change in the superhero's career and life.

Meanwhile, there have been talks about making a film featuring "The Sinister Six."

Filmmaker Marc Webb — who directed "The Amazing Spider-Man" and its sequel — revealed in a previous interview that "The Sinister Six" might be worked on first before the third installment of his "Spider-Man" film series.

Although the plans have been scrapped for the lack of development, Webb said that he wanted Chris Cooper to return as the Green Goblin in the "Spider-Man" spin-off.

"Spider-Man: The Sinister Six Reborn" will be released this November.
