'Splatoon 2' Update 1.3.0: Gameplay Fixes, New Features Roll Out as New Weapon Added to Ammo Knights
Nintendo has rolled out a beefy update for "Splatoon 2" bringing with it some much-needed bug fixes and some minor changes that will improve the overall gameplay experience.
The biggest tweaks included in update 1.3.0 involve the special weapons and the main weapons. The performance of the sub-weapons has also been improved in the massive patch.
One of the fixes in the "Splatoon 2" update should allow the Sting Ray to deal the appropriate damage to Steel Eels when they are inked in any portion.
The issue that leaves the Griller unscathed after a Sting Ray hit (in the weak point by shooting through it) should no longer pester gamers. Update 1.3.0 now allows Sting Rays to deal some damage when they hit the main body of a Griller.
The "Splatoon 2" update should dispel the worries of players that their Steelheads will not work as it should in the Lost Outpost as well as one of two players failing to pick up a single Golden Egg before the wave ends due to a bug.
Roller-type weapons got some love from the patch as well. Ink Armor and Splat Brellas have also been updated as far as how much damage they could incur.
On the multiplayer side of things, update 1.3.0 made necessary repairs on the Sturgeon Shipyard. Furthermore, it should no longer allow players wielding the Inkbrush or Octobrush to occasionally deal continuous damage to opponents when they come into contact with them on uninkable surfaces.
The update also fixes an issue in the "Splatoon 2" multiplayer mode that causes the area below where shots from a Sloshing Machine or Rainmaker hit a wall to not be inked.
Additionally, the patch also makes sure shots made from the Inkjet will not go to waste after an issue causes them to vanish without exploding when shooting objects at certain angles.
Changes have also been made on Splatfest. Nintendo has lowered the experience points "Splatoon 2" players needed to secure a slot for Splatfest Tees. Gamers can read all about the changes here.
Apart from update 1.3.0, the Ammo Knights in "Splatoon 2" has also been equipped with a new weapon called the Custom Splattershot Jr., which works the same way as Splattershot Jr. but with added supporting weapons.
This new "Splatoon 2" weapon comes with an Autobomb sub and Ink Storm special that provides "advantage in assisting teammates from aside or maintaining turf."
