St Louis Cardinals vs San Francisco Giants Live Stream MLB: Watch Online NLCS Game 7 (8PM ET)
The St Louis Cardinals and the San Francisco Giants will face off in a winner takes all Game 7 in the NLCS playoffs on Monday night. The Giants have made an amazing comeback from 1-3 down to square things at 3-3, and whoever wins tonight will progress to the World Series. The game is scheduled to start at 8.07 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream via one of the postseason packages listed below.
The Cardinals are letting slip their chance to reach a second consecutive World Series. At 3-1 up in the series all they had to do is win one more game out of the last three; they've lost two, and have one more chance tonight.
The Giants have done amazingly well to pull things level to 3-3, and most pundits had written them off after falling behind 1-3. They have now earned the chance to make history as one of only two teams to ever win six consecutive elimination games.
The Giants have gotten into this position by allowing just two runs over 21.2 innings pitched across their three NLCS wins. They have their starters to thank for that, and for Game 7 they will be hoping Matt Cain can finish the job and shut out the Cardinals' offense.
Cain's stats might make ugly reading; he has a 4.76 ERA, but a closer look reveals that he has not yet allowed more than three runs in any of his starts. That could be hugely significant if he could maintain that form tonight. Over the regular season he pitched a 2.79 ERA averaging just under seven innings per start. He could be a key player to decide whether the Giants can complete their comeback tonight, or whether they will fall short at the last hurdle.
