'Star Fox Zero' release date confirmed, new box art revealed
Good news for "Star Fox Zero" fans! Nintendo has finally officially announced a release date for the 3D scrolling shooter video game centered on aircraft combat. As reported by Game Spot, Nintendo revealed that "Star Fox Zero" will launch in North America and Europe on Nov. 20. It can be remembered that the continuation of the "Star Fox" franchise was first revealed earlier this year, but with no specific date.
"Star Fox Zero" is the sixth installment in the series and will be released nine years after "Star Fox Command." It is also part of Nintendo's lineup of upcoming releases in 2015, which also includes "Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash" and a new "Super Mario Maker" Wii U bundle. Co-developed with Platinum Games, the game is going to bring fans flying once again to the skies in an Arwing vehicle.
The game will also introduce a spick-and-span narrative in the universe with spanking new vehicles like the Gyrowing. Other featured vehicles include the Walker and the Landmaster. According to Attack of the Fanboy, "Star Fox Zero" is sure to please fans as it will bring the same level of fun that "Star Fox 64" exuded.
Aside from the release date, the official box art of the space shooter game has also been released and there is no doubt that the graphics artists at Nintendo did a great job with it. The art still holds up today a vibrant and eye catching theme that every fan has loved since the beginning. But they're also quick to notice what's missing in the box art—credits. Apparently, Platinum Games is not credited. Fans are clamoring to give credit to where credit is due. It's not the first time though since it also happened with "Bayonetta" which Platinum also co-developed.
Fans can purchase "Star Fox Zero" with a suggested retail price of $59.99 upon its release.
