Pegg explained that the usual time to write a big film, such as "Star Trek Beyond," is about a year. However, he and his team only started six months before the film's production was slated to begin. With several aspects to keep in mind, such as designing and creating the film's set, Pegg expressed the intense pressure he went through.

Nevertheless, it seems as though he was able to find a way to get through the struggles. "Star Trek Beyond" was directed by Justin Lee. J.J. Abrams will be on board as well as a producer. Pegg explained that he also had a good time working alongside J.J. Abrams.

He said, "J.J. and I are great friends and I love working with J.J. and I'd very much like to continue working with J.J. I'd like to do something from scratch with him. It would be fun to look at a blank page together and russle something up."

"Star Trek Beyond" is expected to release on July 22, 2016.
