Star Wars Battlefront 3 Release Date Late 2015, Being Developed by Dice
The next title in the game adaptation to the iconic Star Wars films, "Star Wars Battlefront 3," is rumored to be released sometime late 2015. Electronic Arts subsidiaries Dice, Visceral Games, and Bioware started working on the next title to the Star Wars Battlefront franchise; they are also collaborating with LucasArts to make the game as accurate as possible to the Star Wars universe.
The game was first announced by Dice and accompanied by a trailer during EA's press conference in the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo. The game is going to be built with the Frostbite 3 engine with studio head Patrick Soderlund stating that the game would be Dice's interpretation of what Battlefront should be while still incorporating elements from the previous two games.
Dice did not see Battlefront 3 as a sequel to Battlefront 2 but rather as a reboot of the franchise.

Electronic Arts obtained exclusive rights to develop the Star Wars games for consoles in May 2013. In June of 2014, EA revealed in their press conference during E3 a few months ago that the planet Hoth and the moon Endor would be playable maps for the game.
Battlefront is a Star Wars first-person/third-person shooter franchise that first appeared in 2004, available for the PC, Playstation 2, Xbox, and Macintosh computers. A sequel, Battlefront 2, was then made a year later for the Playstation 2, PSP, Xbox, and the PC.
The game usually revolved around two factions from the Star Wars universe vying for control of command posts that dictate how many reinforcements a faction can currently have. The more command posts controlled, the more reinforcements allowed for that faction. It was basically a deathmatch with limited troop numbers that eventually depleted when a unit is killed or a command post is captured.
