'Star Wars Battlefront' DLC News Update: Survey Hints Space Combat, More Heroes Possible in Next Add-On Content

It looks like EA is reaching out to its fans and followers through a survey to solicit feedback regarding its game, "Star Wars Battlefront." Based on the survey, it is possible that the company could be looking at adding space combat and more heroes to the game.

The survey was supposedly distributed via email. One recipient of the said survey posted about it in a Reddit thread. The survey was reportedly dense, distributed in limited quantities, and took an hour or more to complete.

Among the questions in EA's long survey, one section of the questionnaire asked respondents to rank different types of combat according to how important they perceive it to be in the game. One of the options provided is "ground to space vehicle combat," something that was absent from "Star Wars Battlefront" but present in other Battlefront titles, according to Design and Trend.

Another question wanted to determine how players and fans of the game would react to generations of "Star Wars" icons appearing together in the game. This means, Anakin Skywalker could battle the Imperial forces alongside classic "Star Wars" hero Han Solo and others. The publication notes this would make "Star Wars Battlefront" even more non-canon to the film series.

With these two questions, it would look like EA has heard feedback from players and at the very least is considering what they want. However, one request from fans and players of the game, that of a single-player campaign, wasn't alluded to in the questionnaire at all. But looking at an official tweet from EA, it is clear where the developer-publisher stands in this topic.

"@aaront301 Star Wars Battlefront is a multiplayer game, and our focus is to allow fans to create their own epic Star Wars battles," EA's official Twitter account handle for the game tweeted.
