'Star Wars Battlefront II' Beta Extended Until Today
EA Dice has announced that the open beta trial for its upcoming action shooter video game "Star Wars Battlefront II" has been extended.
Video Gamer reported that players have until today, Oct. 11, to test the new modes available in the beta. The developer released the news via the EA Star Wars Twitter account. According to the post, this is to give players more time to get familiar with the new playable characters and try out the game's futuristic multiplayer setting.

Some of the new modes playable in the beta are the 20 v 20 large-scale battles in Galactic Assault and the skirmishes against the AI in the cooperative Arcade mode. There are also the encounters in the Starfighter Assault mode, where players get to experience jumping into the cockpit of various memorable starfighters from "Star Wars."
According to Comicbook, "Star Wars Battlefront II" will come close to reliving the franchise's roots. The latest Star Wars-verse will reportedly include a single-player storyline that the fans will surely enjoy. Gamers will take the role of Commander Iden Versio, as he and his squad explore the "Star Wars" universe.
"Forge a new path as Iden Versio, commander of Inferno Squad—an Imperial special forces unit equally lethal on the ground and in space. Encounter many of 'Star Wars'' greatest characters in a story of revenge, betrayal, and redemption that spans 30 years," the description reads.
Meanwhile, the shooter will also include a collection of multiplayer maps, as well as exciting locales and all-new characters. For the gamers interested in buying "Star Wars Battlefront II" after the beta, the Deluxe Edition will provide them with a three-day headstart to the game. New upgrades and fighter instant access will also be part of the package.
"Star Wars Battlefront II" will be released on Nov. 17 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
