'Star Wars: Battlefront' PS4 Bundle Release Date News: Available for Preorder
The Darth Vader-inspired PS4 bundles announced on the PlayStation blog last month have now been made available for preorder.
Sony earlier released information it would be debuting two "Star Wars" bundles in November to accompany the release of the third major installment in the "Battlefront" series, "Star Wars: Battlefront," on November 17.
Last Friday, the news emerged that a Darth Vader-themed PlayStation 4 game console, which is scheduled for launch together with the EA DICE game, has now been made available for preorder at retailer establishments all over the country.
Initially introduced at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, the limited edition PS4 system has been inspired by "Star Wars'" iconic villain, Darth Vader.
The premium gaming console features a laser-etched Darth Vader image, and comes with a special DualShock 4 controller designed after the "Star Wars" arch villain's chest panel, with the "Star Wars" logo embossed on its touchpad. The PS4 is bundled together with a "Star Wars: Battlefront" Deluxe Edition title.
The PS4 package will also include four free digital titles with trophy support and enhanced graphics playable with the console, including, "Super Star Wars," "Star Wars: Bounty Hunter," "Star Wars: Racer Revenge," and "Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter."
The Limited Edition Darth Vader-inspired PS4 bundle is pegged for preorder with a $450 price tag.
Sony is also offering a Standard "Battlefront" bundle for preorder with a regular PS4 console that comes with a black DualShock 4 controller, one copy of "Battlefront," and the four free "Star Wars" digital game titles for $400.
Together with the preorder bundles, a Limited Edition "Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars" with PS4 is also up for preorder. The bundle will pack a 500GB Darth Vader PS4 system with a wireless DualShock 4 controller, and the "Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars" Edition PlayStation Exclusive Hardware Bundle Kit, retailing at $450, and scheduled to launch ahead of "Battlefront" on November 13.
