'Star Wars Episode 7' Plot to Have New Villian? Title 'The Ancient Fear' Revealed
Star Wars Episode 7 might feature a title related to the plot in the sequel that's based on a new villain.
The film is now rumored to be called "The Ancient Fear," according to a report from Ain't It Cool News. The site's founder Harry Knowles claims this title was confirmed by multiple sources and also says it refers to Max Von Sydow's villain character.
There is no word on who Sydow is playing at this time. Knowles has some credibility since he's the one that first broke the news of Star Wars Episode 1 being titled "The Phantom Menace" back in 1998.
Star Wars episode 7 will feature the beloved Hans Solo who is said to play a huge role.
Harrison Ford will reprise his role, and it will reportedly be "gigantic," Deadline reported. The next installment functions as a direct sequel to 1983 "Return of the Jedi" movie.
Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are also expected to return for the new trilogy and will once again play Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia.
George Lucas, creator and former owner of the "Star Wars" franchise revealed to BusinessWeek at the end of last year that he was already in talks with Hamill, Fisher and Ford to sign on for a new film before the deal with Disney was brokered.
"We had already signed Mark, Carrie and Harrison- or we were pretty much in final negotiations," he said. "So I called them to say, 'Look, this is what's going on.' Maybe I'm not supposed to say that. I think they want to announce that with some big whoop-de-do, but we were negotiating with them. I won't say whether the negotiations were successful or not."
