'Star Wars Episode 8' News: Title and Set Photos Leaked
The hype of the hit franchise continues as fans anticipate the release of "Star Wars Episode 8."
The previously released film "Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens" revived the story of "Star Wars" last year, leaving fans wanting more. However, Disney and Lucasfilms have yet to reveal any details regarding what the upcoming film will be about.
There was a video leaked online teasing information about the new installment of the franchise. From the video, the title of the upcoming movie was released, revealing that "Star Wars Episode 8" will be titled "Star Wars: Fall of The Resistance."
This has caused several speculations on what the upcoming movie will present. It was predicted that "Star Wars: Fall of The Resistance" will tell the story of many characters' deaths. This goes well with the hints that the actors provided, stating the the new installment will take a dark turn. The new title created a lot of buzz in the web, stating their concern for the future of the Resistance.
However, no official source have yet to confirm that "Star Wars: Fall of The Resistance" is the actual title of the film. The creative executive of Lucasfilm, Pablo Hidalgo, did warn fans about the fake spoilers being made for the upcoming film. However, he did not answer whether the title was correct or not.
Meanwhile, fans recently got a look at some leaked set photos for the film, which is currently being shot. The photos showed the iconic vehicle of the franchise, the Millenium Falcon. In addition, it also showed the reconstruction of Jedi footprints on Ahch-To.
With that, there is a lot of excitement happening for the upcoming film. Unforunately, fans will have to wait more than a year to see the film in the big screens. "Star Wars: Episode VIII," directed by Rian Johnson, is slated to be released on Dec. 15, 2017.
