'Star Wars' Millennium Falcon Rebuilt with 7,500 Lego Bricks, Included in 'GTA V' Mod
The "Star Wars" craze is far from over, and people are especially getting inspired by the movie's iconic Millennium Falcon. One Lego hobbyist spent a long time to rebuild the starship with more than 7,000 bricks, while someone from the "Grand Theft Auto V" community created a mod that allows players to fly it over the skies of Los Santos.
7,500-piece "Star Wars" Millennium Falcon took a year to build
"Star Wars" fan Hannes Tscharner, has always wanted to build his own version of Han Solo's Millennium Falcon, which he believes is the "coolest spaceship in the galaxy."
He finally achieved his dream this year. His version of the Millennium Falcon is made out of approximately 7,500 Lego bricks and took him a whole year to accomplish.
"My main goal was to present the model in a flying position, which was a huge task," he wrote. "Due to its internal framework it was not possible to include an interior, but I was able to fully lighten the model."
Tscharner's Millennium Falcon features a detailed cockpit with four seats, gunner's platform, and a lowering ramp. There's even a Han Solo and Rey Lego minifigures in the cockpit.
The build measures 82 cm long by 54 cm wide by 18 cm deep and weighs 10 kg. Photos of Tscharner's Millennium Falcon can be viewed on his Flickr account, Marshal Banana.
"Star Wars" Millennium Falcon mod in "GTA V"
While Tscharner's Millennium Falcon is pretty to look at, it won't assuage a player's desire to actually fly it. This is where this "Star Wars" Millennium Falcon mod for "GTA V" comes in.
Modder Kafaros created the mod, which is a re-skinned version of the game's fighter jet, according to GameRant. For those wondering about the starship, PC Gamer has uploaded a video (above) of the Millennium Falcon taking a spin over Los Santos in "GTA V."
The video (above) also briefly features another "Star Wars" ship, the Star Destroyer. This mod was created by JJxOracle.
