'Star Wars Rebels' Season 2 News: Spoilers and Trailer (VIDEO)
An initial look at "Star Wars Rebels" season 2 was unveiled last weekend at the Star Wars Celebration, giving fans the first glimpse of spoilers for the show.
With season two still a few months away, fans were treated to an advanced trailer for the second season of "Star Wars Rebels" at the Star Wars Celebration last weekend at the Anaheim Convention Center, unveiling spoilers for the Disney-ABC animated TV series.
The season two sneak peek discloses information Darth Vader will be back, and he is seen hard on the trail of Ezra, Hera, Kanan, Sabine and Zeb. This points to Vader, voiced by James Earl Jones, becoming the primary antagonist for season two after the Inquisitor's death in season one.
Fans should also expect some of their favorite characters, Captain Rex, Gregor and Wolf, all three voiced by "The Boxtrolls" and "Halo" voice-over actor, Dee Bradley Baker, will be joining the cast of season two.
Baker himself made his own surprise appearance during the trailer's preview where he was joined by the actor who voices Ashoka Tano, "That's So Raven" star, Ashley Eckstein.
In season one, Ashoka Tano was revealed to be Fulcrum on the show, and fans in the convention during the screening of the trailer enthusiastically greeted the news of Baker and Eckstein reprising their roles for season two.
Along with a host of Clone Troopers, Hondo Ohnaka's character will be returning to the show, as well, where he will be confronting Vader in what spoilers have revealed will not end well for the pirate.
MTV disclosed a spoiler where one of the show's recurring character's will meet their end, with the suggestion Freddie Prinze, Jr's Kanan Jarrus may end up dead after the trailer revealed a fierce battle between him and Darth Vader.
Two new Inquisitors will be making their entrance during season two as well: a large male character wielding a dual lightsaber, and another Inquisitor donning a mask. According to the spoiler, one of the two Inquisitors will be the cause of another Rebel's death in season two.
Earlier on, actress, Sarah Michelle Gellar had been announced as joining the cast for season two, but no word has as yet been released for her character.
"Star Wars Rebels" season will premiere in the summer with 22 episodes, preceded by a TV-movie special.
