'Stardew Valley' News: Creator Eric Barone Reveals Some of the New Features Included in an Upcoming Update

Winter-related items among those teased

"Stardew Valley" is set to be updated again in the not-too-distant future, and creator Eric Barone is hinting at the new features that are set to be introduced.

Over on Twitter, Barone revealed some of the additions that will be included in a new content update, such as a different type of collection that players can begin during their first winter.

Another winter-related addition expected to be added soon is a "town event." Other non-player character events are coming as well.

Players who love putting up outdoor decorations will be glad to know that even more of them are going to be introduced soon. Some of these outdoor decorations can even change depending on the season.

Barone is also working on signs so that any item can be shown on them, and a way to re-spec professions is being developed as well.

A post on the game's official website featured an image of a character fishing in what appeared to be a dimly lit room, and apparently, this has something to do with the new "Stardew Valley" content Barone is working on.

The new pieces of content are expected to hit the PC, Mac and Linux versions of the game first before eventually being released for the console editions.

Aside from the new content, multiplayer is coming to the game as well. This feature has been in the works for a while now and the good news for players is that they may be able to try it out during a future beta test. No specific date has been attached just yet to the multiplayer beta, but it is expected to go live early next year.

There is also a PS Vita port of the game that is currently in development, and it is set to be released next year.

More news about "Stardew Valley" should be made available soon.
