Steam Halloween Sale 2017: Hit Horror Games and Movies on Big Discounts; Find Out Until When

Steam's annual Halloween Sale is now up, and it is bringing down the prices of some of the hit horror-themed video games in the market but only for a limited time.

The limited-time sale started earlier this week and will be available until the end of Halloween. And to help gaming fans celebrate the popular holiday, Steam has temporarily cut down prices for games with scary stories.

Meanwhile, the holiday sale event is not strictly for horror games only. Steam, like always, has included an array of video games with thrilling themes such as shooter games with zombies, survival, and action-adventure titles.

In the Halloween Sale 2017 page, Steam also made a separate section for virtual reality games as well as the horror movies from their library that are on sale.

Some of the games with the biggest discounts include the "Amnesia Collection" that comes with the "A Machine for Pigs" and "The Dark Descent" releases, all for $3.49 (90 percent off of the original price; hit puzzle-platformer "Limbo" for $8.27 (85 percent off); "Friday Nights at Freddy's" Franchise Bundle that includes the four main titles and the "Sister Location" release for $7.35 (80 percent off); "Outlast" for $3.99 (80 percent off); psychological horror game "Layers of Fear" for $4.99 (75 percent off); and survival horror "Alien Isolation" for $11.99 (70 percent off).

More games are now available for half their original price, such as "Dead by Daylight" ($9.99), "Friday the 13th: The Game" ($19.99), "Dying Light" ($19.99), the acclaimed horror puzzle "Detention" ($5.99), and "The Evil Within 1" ($9.99).

Meanwhile, Steam also offers several horror movies with great discounts during the Halloween promo. Some of the flicks included in the list are "Scream," "Scream 2," and "Scream 4" which are all available with a 55 percent discount that brings the movies' prices down to $4.94 each. The classic "American Psycho" is also on sale with the same price as the "Scream" titles.

Steam's Halloween Sale 2017 will be available until Wednesday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. EDT.
