Steve Jobs Dead: Death Results in Massive Rise in St Croix Black Turtleneck Sales
St.Croix’s signature black turtleneck, made popular by the late Steve Jobs, is now in high demand, according to the clothing company.
St. Croix stated that sales of its popular cotton pullover have doubled since Steve Jobs’ passing last week.
The company plans to donate $20 for each $175 sweater sold to the American Cancer Society in honor of the late Apple co-founder.
This black turtleneck frequently sported by Jobs set a trend for casual fashion at many Silicon Valley tech companies.
Jobs’ casual look has influenced other tech giants including Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, who usually wears a plain T-shirt to important events.
Jobs’ wore the mock black turtleneck to every recent major Apple announcement and project launch.
The former Apple CEO played a major role in influencing the culture of Silicon Valley.

In his early days, Jobs used to make appearances in a bow-tie, and a leather jacket on occasion.
But in recent years his new signature attire consisted of the black St. Croix turtleneck, a pair of blue jeans and New Balance sneakers.
Steve Jobs died last week due to respiratory arrest caused by his ongoing struggle with pancreatic cancer.
He resigned as CEO of Apple this past summer leaving Tim Cook, one of his former lieutenants at the helm of the company.
