Steven Tyler National Anthem AFC Championship Video Won't Go on to Hollywood
Steven Tyler has been charged with destroying the National Anthem. The singer, who gave his rendition of the American classic for the AFC Championship game, was reportedly not at his best.
The Sunday football game, which headed off the New England Patriots verses the Baltimore Ravens, was a close one with the Ravens loosing by only three points. Tyler however, who is one of latest to join the team of judges on American Idol, may not have made the cut. Some might even say that he lost a little credibility after being unable to reach the iconic high note during the word "free".
Many fans, who were disappointed by Tyler's performance, took to Twitter. RealSkipBayless tweeted "How could Patriots be inspired by that awful Anthem sung by Steven Tyler? At least give him some screaming guitars to camouflage voice." Another 100 account users agreed and reposted the message.
The 63-year-old Aerosmith singer did not appear too phased by his performance, deciding that the incident was not worthy of being Tweeted about although he did mention an American Idol party at his hotel suite.
Tyler was however supportive of the Patriots, wearing a red Patriot scarf mixed in with his usual rock star attire. His anthem also appeared enough to help the Patriots win a possible spot in the Super Bowl games, February 5th.
