'Street Fighter 5': Alternate Costumes Leak from Game's Beta Patch

Fans can be very resourceful when it comes to looking for new information about their beloved games. Through datamining, fans of Capcom's upcoming title, "Street Fighter V," have uncovered some pretty interesting goodies.

A report from gaming-centric site Shoryuken points to a NeoGAF user, Scrub Mcgrubb, as having leaked images of "Street Fighter V" characters' alternate costumes. The forum user apparently got the information from a recently released patch for the game. As it turns out, part of the update was dedicated to alternate costumes for "Street Fighter V" characters.

The leaked photos show M. Bison wearing a battle-damaged outfit that looks similar to what he wore in "Street Fighter IV." Newcomer Necalli can be seen wearing some type of Aztec or tribal armor. Cammy dons on a military-type outfit, while Kung Fu fighter Chun-Li wears her police uniform. Karin has on a new dress, but the new Brazilian fighter Laura's outfit is a very revealing one. Some characters also have their "Street Fighter Alpha" costumes.

These images are great to look at and tease fans of some pretty neat content that's possibly coming to the game in the future. For those interested, YouTuber rKappasvoice r Kappa Voice has uploaded a couple of videos (below) showcasing their favorite fighters donning their alternate costumes in action.

In addition to the alternate costumes, fans were also able to find a model of "Street Fighter III" protagonist Alex. Shoryuken believes it's for the character's appearance in the New York City stage. Alex is rumored to be joining the "Street Fighter V" roster through a DLC, but nothing's certain at this point.

Although Capcom has not previously announced alternate costumes, it appears these will be coming to the game. The new costumes would likely be available for purchase through in-game currency, according to Game Rant. Of course, nothing about these alternate costumes has been confirmed at this point.

"Street Fighter V" is scheduled to release to Sony's PlayStation 4 and PC on Feb. 16.
