'Street Fighter V': Capcom Introduces Karin in Latest Video
Capcom released a new trailer (below) for "Street Fighter V" character Karin. The video is part of its character introduction series that started on Thursday, Feb. 4.
Karin Kanzuki was revealed as a playable character of the series in September 2015. She appeared in "Street Fighter Alpha," but her popularity among the title's fans paved the way for her re-introduction in "Street Fighter V" with a completely new design and play style.
Karin uses the Kanzuki style of fighting, which is a combination of numerous martial arts. Capcom added a new dash move in her arsenal for "Street Fighter V." Using this dash move allows her to close the gap between herself and the opponent and deliver a quick high-low attack or throw.
Her V Skill is Meioken. The move consists of a lunge forward and a palm strike that can negate fireball attacks or knock down an opponent. Meanwhile, her V Trigger is the Kanzuki-Ryu Guren No Kata. This move consists of different variations that allow her to follow up with combos.
In essence, Karin is a flexible and well-rounded fighter. Players can control the fight with her wide array of strikes and moves. Fans can get a glimpse of her moves in the video below.
Karin's introduction video is the sixth in the series. Before Karin, Capcom released introduction videos for the new character F.A.N.G., the back-from-the-dead Nash, another newcomer Necalli, the Russian Zangief, and Ken Masters. Capcom's "Street Fighter V" character introduction series is narrated by Community Manager Matt Edwards. More videos are expected to follow soon as Capcom builds upon the upcoming launch of the latest entry to the popular fighting game franchise.
Fans need only wait a few more days to play Karin and the other characters, as "Street Fighter V" releases on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
